Day Camp FAQ
Day Camp runs Monday–Friday, with drop-off at 8:45–9:00 AM and pick-up at 3:45–4:00 PM. Optional extended care is available until 6pm for a fee.
Day Campers enjoy the full Berkshire Trails experience — fields, courts, arts spaces, waterfront areas, dining hall, and more. They move through camp with their group, led by trained staff who make each day safe, structured, and FUN.
A detailed packing list will be provided, but generally campers should bring:
- A labeled water bottle
- Sunscreen
- Hat
- Swimsuit & towel
- Closed-toe athletic shoes
- A backpack for personal items
We encourage labeling everything!
Yes! Campers can enjoy the same fresh, kid-friendly, nutritious meals served in our overnight camp dining hall. Snacks are included throughout the day.
Please note: Lunch is not included in the camp fee, but it is available for purchase. Campers may bring their own lunch.
Yes — Day Campers swim each day. We offer instructional swim and free swim, led by certified lifeguards and trained swim staff.
Families are responsible for drop-off and pick-up. We maintain a safe, streamlined system for arrivals and departures to ensure your camper begins and ends the day with ease. Busing options are available from Hudson, Lenox, Pitsfield, and Stockbridge for an extra fee.
Our Day Camp groups are led by trained, enthusiastic counselors who specialize in working with younger campers. Many are returning staff members or former campers themselves. All undergo background checks, training, and ongoing supervision.

Campers are placed in groups by grade and age. Friendship requests can be submitted and we will do our best to accommodate them.
That’s the beauty of Day Camp! Our program is designed for first-time campers. Our staff specialize in helping children feel comfortable, included, and excited from the moment they arrive.
Absolutely. Our 24/7 Medical Center supports all campers, including those in Day Camp. We can accommodate most dietary needs, allergies, and daily medications. Please reach out to us beforehand to discuss your camper’s needs.

Yes! Many families choose multiple sessions. Each week features different themes and activities, keeping things fresh and exciting.
Day Campers feel the magic of overnight camp—the traditions, the spirit, the community—while returning home each evening. It’s the perfect introduction to camp life and a stepping stone toward becoming future overnight campers.
Day Camp is an unplugged experience. Cell phones, tablets, and smartwatches are not permitted. If brought to camp, they must remain in the camper’s bag and will be held by staff if they become a distraction.
Camp runs rain or shine. We have a robust rainy-day plan using our indoor facilities to keep campers active, safe, and engaged. On excessively hot days, activities are adjusted for hydration, shade, and cooling breaks.
